State Agency Regulations
R4 Professions and Occupations
-The Medical Board uses, or at least allows, physician cases to be settled via mediation.
-The Board of Dental Examiners refers some complaints to mediation, depending on the allegations.
R7 Education
-An administrator's performance assessments are to measure the extent to which the administrator "demonstrates consensus building and conflict mediation."
R9 Health Services
-Behavioral Health Services Agencies want emergency safety response used only by a staff member with proof of successful completion annually of the use of "nonphysical intervention skills, such as de-escalation, mediation, conflict resolution, active listening, and verbal and observational methods."
R14 Public Service Corporations; Corporations and Associations; Securities Regulation
-This title goes into the most detail about mediation.
-Title 14, Article 15 is actually entitled "Arbitration and Mediation"
R20 Commerce, Financial Institutions, and Insurance
-The Industrial Commission uses mediation for employee wage claims.
